    Akiko Kelley

    Akiko Kelley is a second year pursuing a major in Urban and Regional Studies and minoring in Business and Inequalities Studies. While she does not have a set career path yet, Akiko is interested in sustainable development and historic preservation. Outside of classes, she is on the E-Board for multiple clubs on campus including, AAPOC (Architects, Artists, and Planners of Color), CU WHI (Women's Health Initiative), and DAIRE (Diversity and Inclusion in Real Estate). Through her work in the clubs, Akiko amplifies historically underrepresented voices and creates spaces for discussion and community building. Akiko joined Effective Altruism because she is passionate about helping others and hopes to learn how to do as much good in all avenues of life through discussions about complex moral dilemmas and issues in the world.

    Alex Eagan

    Alex is a Mechanical Engineering Major from Alaska who holds climate action and kindness close to his heart. He hopes to make a positive impact wherever he goes, and is sure EA will help him do that!

    Alexander Burnett

    Alex is a freshman studying Philosophy and Religious Studies in the college of Arts & Sciences. He focuses on how belief systems shape our values and how these values influence our actions: a subject central to EA's mission.

    Alexandra Mantilla

    Alexandra Mantilla is a sophomore in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences studying International Agriculture and Rural Development. Alexandra is passionate about creating a food system that does not dehumanize those who are producing and delivering our food. She hopes to broaden her perspectives on solutions to world issues engaging with students from various disciplines through EA.

    Christopher Price

    Christopher Price is a freshmen at Cornell University studying Computer Science and Mathematics. He aspires to effect change through the commercialization of bio-technology ideas. Should he succeed in building life-saving products, he hopes to change gears and focus on public service as a United States senator ensuring a stable political system. His favorite fictive book is a rationality classic: Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality and his favorite memoir is: "When Breath becomes Air".

    Cici Zhou

    Cici is a freshman at the college of arts and science, majoring in sociology. She hopes to learn how to make decisions more objectively from EA. In spare time, Cici loves reading and traveling. She wants to be a journalist, or a volunteer teacher, or a psychological counselor in the future because she likes to engage with people!

    Dana Kaddoura

    I am a sophomore biology major. I am hoping to meet cool people and learn about effective altruism.

    Dil Patel

    Dil Patel is a freshman at Cornell majoring in Applied Economics and Management and is thinking about concentrating in Finance or Business Analytics. Through EA, he hopes to learn how to maximize his positive impact on the world and how to think about tackling global issues that matter through his work and actions.

    Elijah Davis

    My name is Elijah and I am a third year in the ILR school. I have repeatedly been exposed to effective altruism in various online communities I frequent, and I am excited to learn more.

    Lawrence Fan is a freshman in the College of Arts of Sciences studying Computer Science and Mathematics. Through the Arete Fellowship, he hopes to better understand the values guiding and residue impacts of his actions, as well as what constitutes as a "good" impact.

    Michael Hansan

    Michael Hansan is from Bethesda, Maryland, and is a junior in the ILR school with a minor in Philosophy. While unsure of what he wants to do after graduating from Cornell, Michael is set on spurring positive change in the world through entrepreneurship. As a 2022 Kessler Fellow in the College of Engineering, Michael hopes to use his experience with CEA to best inform him on where to set his sights for his future in the startup world.

    Sarah Coupal is a senior nutrition major and global health minor in the College of Human Ecology. She would like to work on food systems issues and is looking forward to learning more about how to think about meaningful careers and programs.

    Sarah is a current freshman planning in CAS planning to major in physics. Through EA, she hopes to discuss how scientific and technological research can be used to help the world with minimal negative effects.     Zack Fogarty is a sophomore studying Environment and Sustainability in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Through EA, he hopes to discover the best way to unite his environmental passions and his humanitarian beliefs and then find a career that accommodates both.
